These are the exact varieties I plant when I expect containers to produce. Not just look good.

Most container gardens underperform for one reason — the varieties are wrong.

Too big for the pot.
Too slow to set fruit.
Too sensitive to heat.

That’s how you end up doing “hope it works” gardening.

This collection eliminates that.

Fourteen varieties chosen specifically for compact growth, strong performance in limited soil, and steady harvests in real containers — not demo pots.

Best planting window:
Spring through summer in most climates — plant early for stronger root development.

Why container gardens struggle — and why these don’t:

• Plants that fit the container
• Roots that handle limited soil
• Varieties that keep producing when picked
• No space wasted on low performers

This isn’t random. It’s built to work together in small spaces.

Every order includes a free seed packet — automatically added — because we take care of our gardeners.

 🌿 What You’ll Be Harvesting:

You don’t need more space. You need the right plants.

BeSweet Edamame Beans (Warm season | 75–85 days to harvest)

Compact bush plants reach 18–24 inches tall and load up with plump, bright green pods. Sweet, tender beans perfect for snacking or quick meals. Does great in a 5–7 gallon container.

Dwarf Greek Basil (Warm season | 60–70 days to harvest)
Naturally tidy plants stay 8–12 inches tall with small, intensely fragrant leaves. Big basil flavor without the sprawl — perfect for pesto nights. Happy in a 1–2 gallon pot.

Early Frosty Pea (Cool season | 55–60 days to harvest)
Vines grow 3–4 feet tall and fill quickly with crisp, sweet pods. Ideal for containers with a small trellis. Plant in a 5–7 gallon container and let it climb.

Endive (Cool season | 50–60 days to harvest)
Upright plants reach 10–12 inches tall with lightly curled leaves. Crisp texture with a mild bite that elevates salads. Grows beautifully in a 3–5 gallon container.

Floradade Tomato (Determinate | Warm season | 70–75 days to harvest)
Stocky plants grow 3–4 feet tall and handle heat with ease. Produces classic red slicing tomatoes with balanced flavor. Best in a 10–15 gallon container.

Golden Nugget Tomato (Determinate | Warm season | 55–65 days to harvest)
Plants reach 3–4 feet tall and are covered in sweet, golden-yellow tomatoes. Early, mild, and incredibly productive. Give it room in a 5-10 gallon container.

Heatwave Lettuce Mix (Cool season | 30–45 days to harvest) A blend of heat-tolerant lettuces chosen to extend harvest and resist bolting as temperatures rise, tolerating heat into the upper 80s. Perfect for repeat harvests. Great in a shallow 2–3 gallon container or window box.

Jalapeño TAMS Pepper (Warm season | 70–80 days to harvest)
Compact plants grow 24–30 inches tall and produce smooth, glossy peppers with classic jalapeño heat. Thrives in a 5–7 gallon container.

Jaune et Verte Scalloped Squash (Warm season | 50–60 days to harvest)
Bush-type plants spread 3–4 feet wide and produce striking green-and-cream scalloped fruits. Tender texture and mild flavor. Needs a  10–20 gallon container to shine.

Lilliput Zinnia Mix (Warm season | 60–70 days to harvest)
True dwarf zinnias grow 2–3 feet tall and burst with colorful blooms that attract pollinators. Adds instant cheer to patios in a 5-10 gallon container, can interplant with other plants.

Mini Bell Yellow Pepper (Warm season | 65–75 days to harvest)
Plants stay 18–24 inches tall and produce loads of sweet, sunny yellow mini bells. Perfect size for pots — plant in a 3-5gallon container.

Pick a Bushel Cucumber (Warm season | 50–55 days to harvest)
Short vines grow 3–4 feet and deliver heavy harvests of crisp cucumbers. Bred specifically for containers. Grows best in a 5–10 gallon container with a trellis.

Sugar Baby Watermelon (Warm season | 75–85 days to harvest)
Compact vines reach about 6 feet and produce round melons with bright red, super-sweet flesh. A fun, high-reward crop in a 10-20 gallon container with room to sprawl or climb.

Tiny Tim Tomato (Determinate | Warm season | 45–55 days to harvest)
Compact plants grow 2–3 feet tall and are packed with clusters of sweet red cherry tomatoes. One of the easiest container tomatoes — happy in a 5–7 gallon container.

Containers are small. Your harvest shouldn’t be.
