KRISTY- I absolutely love the idea of a garden blog, so happy for you both and of the idea of expanding your wonderful ideas.   I have a  chronic neurological condition that caused me to have to give up my job as a nurse. I have debilitating pain and many symptoms that gave me very few options other than lying on the bed or couch. I was very depressed and felt hopeless a lot of times.  My nutrition was very poor.  I would stare out to my backyard  and think one day I will have my garden.

Screen Shot 2016-05-01 at 1.24.39 AMA couple of years ago I decided to type in “gardening” on YouTube and your channel came up.  I fell in love with it at the very start because you made it so easy to understand and relate to,  as well as economical.

Through gardening, you have helped give me a passion for life again. Gardening is my therapy.  Following your advice, I have a fully organic garden and my nutrition has improved ten fold with the clean eating examples I have followed.

I love drinking water again especially with the oranges and mint, as you do in your videos – my quart mason jar is never far from me. I feel so much better even though I have to take it day-by-day. My horizon is so much prettier especially with sunflowers in it!!! I really have to thank you and CameraGuy for helping me so much!!!  Your channel is so inspiring!!!  Only the sky is the limit for you two!!!

BRIAN – I have been following the Calikim Garden & Home DIY for quite some time now. They have a ton of fantastic information. The videos are always fun and educational. Last year on my road back to health, I planted a small garden thanks to all the great support and info they offer. I can’t say enough great things about these people. I wish them much success on all their future endeavors.- Brian Boudreau

ROD – I have learned 3 important things from you,  First, don’t be afraid to try new things and to make mistakes. I started just growing peppers then tomatoes and the last 2 years have tried many different things – thanks to your YouTube videos!  Second,  patience and the appreciation of how everything we grow evolves from seed to harvest!  There is not a day that goes by that I don’t go out to my garden to explore what changes I see. The excitement you share though your videos is contagious!Screen Shot 2016-05-01 at 1.21.43 AM  Third, and the most important, “garden therapy”!!!  I find myself walking through my garden when I need to quiet my thoughts.

Through your YouTube videos, I see the love you have for gardening and sharing, your videos have taught me how to love and share just that much more. Now, on how this has helped me live a healthier life.  I don’t consider myself to be a healthy eater, even though I do eat all my home grown veggies now, but I do feel that gardening has helped me through the rough patches in the last 3 years.  In the past, I would resort to unhealthy choices when confronted with problems, stress or sometimes depression. With your help and that of my gardening, now I can walk though my garden and check on my plants or just sit outside and look at everything I am caring for and instantly change my mood to something positive!  This to me is me living a happier and healthier life!

Thank you Kim! For making me always feel welcomed on your YouTube channel and on your Instagram page! Thank you for all that you have helped me learn, about growing, gardening and about myself!  I’ve said it before, you and CameraGuy will always be a part of my garden and a part of my life.   I can’t thank you enough for all you have done for me!   Sending lots of love from Baja, México…your fan, your follower and your friend,

Rodrigo Banuelos Gonzalez (Rod/iWant.a.Garden)

LADI MARIE – Hi CaliKim!!  I follow you on all social media! Your youtube videos have been the most helpful, because they give specific how-to’s – I need that! I came from a business office background – dirt just did not make sense.

Now, I focus on 4 to 6 veggies and lots of fruit trees. I learned the most important part is my soil, fix that, and I can grow anything. I get to grow year round since I sojourn in the land of Puerto Rico. But this jungle will eat me alive if I don’t beat it back! It’s a test of wills. The other single most important thing is your inspiration.  Without that, I would quit, it’s critical to me. So, thank you very much!!
